About Us

We’re building flexible housing for the future.

Our aim is to provide hospitality and humanitarian operators with access to a safe, comfortable, and flexible housing solution that can be set up anywhere with minimal permanent construction.

“As we launch Freedom Homestead to provide programming for veterans experiencing homelessness, we are excited about the future relationship we’ll have with Vika Living. To have a place to rest, reflect and begin to heal is critical in our programming. Vika will be a key component to those who’ve served on the frontline for all of us.”

Exclusive Partner With Freedom Homestead

Vika is the exclusive housing partner for Freedom Homestead, providing housing for unsheltered veterans across the U.S. Vika aims to go nationwide with more city and state partnerships.

Freedom Homestead is designed to be a national program providing full-service communities, addressing the needs of unsheltered veterans throughout the U.S. – including healthcare services, food services, job training, and more. This is an exciting opportunity for us, as the city of Chattanooga was recently awarded $12.5 million to build a “Freedom Homestead”, a 90-100 acre campus for veterans experiencing homelessness.

We continue to join forces with incredible non-profits who are committed to providing dignified shelter for our most vulnerable populations.

Vika Living is thrilled to partner with Freedom Reimagined Foundation by providing a critical housing component in Freedom Homesteads across the United States. Each veteran will have a dignified and comfortable space to call home while in the program, paired with immediate access to Frontline’s health, wellness, and vocational services. Projects like this are why we started the company and we believe this will set the bar for veteran care on a national level.

Unsheltered and Unhoused Efforts

Today, non-profits and cities are struggling to keep up with the housing needs of their communities. Over 500k people experience homelessness in the United States each year, and that number is increasing due to economic and climate events. While there’s a push in many cities to increase the supply of affordable and permanent housing, traditional housing construction methods cannot keep up with this demand.

There is a desperate need for emergency and transitional housing for various reasons, including natural disasters, unexpected life changes, and the rising costs of living. We believe that providing a fleet of transitional housing units will alleviate this burden over the next several decades while permanent construction plays catch-up.

In the fall of 2023, we joined Heart of a Lion to begin plans to use Vika Pro units to create Freedom Homestead—a flexible housing village for unhoused veterans. More to come on this project!

Short-Term & Mid-Term Rentals

The demand for destination rentals and glamping is skyrocketing, with opportunities across the US clustered around major urban centers and national parks. In the US, there are 86M active camping households, and 2/3 of them prefer to stay in campgrounds with amenities and services. Operators are trying to capture this demand by building new cabin-type accommodations, but they’re running into skilled labor shortages and permitting barriers. We aim to provide a frictionless way for these operators to add new rentable spaces, and the flexibility to move them to other properties if needed.

Disaster Relief

The need for fast & flexible housing is even more pronounced in response to disaster events, which are often sudden and unpredictable. In 2023, 2.5M people in the United States alone were displaced due to disasters. Unfortunately, many families lose their homes in these events and are forced to relocate for years during the rebuild efforts. We believe that transitional housing can help to quickly fill that gap, allowing people to remain on their property and close to friends, family, and work.
